Milton Transitional Housing is a community-based, registered Canadian charity that provides bridge accommodation and supportive counselling to people in Milton who are experiencing a housing crisis. MTH's program assists participants in overcoming their challenges while they work towards securing their own independent, stable housing.
Suzanne Watts leads our CNOY team that raises funds for Milton Transitional Housing. Over $12,000 was raised in 2021.
JACK'S WALK
FAITH UNITED WALKS FOR JACK AND BOB A SUCCESS
Our Coldest Night walk happened on Saturday, Feb 26, 2022 and our team of a dozen did our own walk in the Timberlea neighborhood, donning our yellow toques and pink and red felt hearts to honour our friends Jack White and Bob Walker, champion supporters of Milton Transitional Housing.
Bob would want me to share some numbers with you, so here are a few:
Faith had 116 sponsors and raised $8,185.
We finished in third place just a couple hundred dollars behind CFUW, kudos to them for a strong campaign! Donations can be received up until March 31, so perhaps we can catch them yet??
Our MTH walk saw 236 walkers on 32 teams, with 45 volunteers- including some Faith members, raise a whopping $97,016, significantly surpassing their $80,000 goal.
