Women of Faith

Thanks to those ladies who were able to attend the first meeting of the season this week.  What a wonderful fellowship time we had along with a presentation from Lorrie Ferrante, the Supervisor of Cultural Events at the First Ontario Centre for the Arts. We also had some planning time for teams to prepare for their assigned months.    So far, it looks like a lively and interesting year coming up.    Please note that if you were unable to attend, someone from your team will be in touch with news from your group.

November's meeting is being organized by the SKY team and it is attending the Sunday, Nov. 6 matinee performance of CLUE put on by Milton Players.   Of course, all members of Faith and your friends are invited to join in.    Tickets are $29 and must be paid for by October 14th.  Please see Louise for this.

Listed below are the names and dates of the Teams.  All meetings are on the first Monday of the month.  Please note that some ladies are still on your team even though they might only be able to join us when we have Zoom meetings.  Please keep them in the loop via email.

SKY Team (November 7 and March 6)

STARS Team (December 5 and April 3)

MOON Team (January 9 and  May 1)

SUN Team (February 6 and June 5)

Prayer

"Keep us, O God, from pettiness; let us be large in thought, in word, in deed.  Let us be done with fault-finding and leave off self-seeking.

May we put away all pretense and meet each other face to face, without self-pity and without prejudice.  May we never be hasty in judgment and always generous.

Let us take time for all things; make us to grow calm, serene, gentle.  Teach us to put into action our better impulses, straightforward and unafraid.  Grant that we may realize it is the little things that create differences, that in the big things of life we are at one.

And may we strive to touch and to know the great, common human heart of us all, and O Lord God, let us forget not to be kind.  Amen."
